Rainbow Shimmer Lampwork Beads
These beads were a delightful surprise, and I’m thrilled with how the lampwork pieces turned out! I experimented with a frit blend I love but had struggled to make it truly shine. The transparent colors are so rich that they work best when layered over opaque shades that complement a variety of hues. When I added white, the rainbow colors really came to life, and introducing gold aventurine made them even more breathtaking.
What excites me most about this set is the individuality of each bead. Each one showcases different dominant colors, creating a beautiful spectrum within a single strand. I used the transparent blend sparingly, which proved to be a successful approach. The addition of white frit within the blend really intensified the vibrancy of the colors.
One consideration is that the color dominance can be unpredictable. If someone is hoping for specific colors to stand out, they may find that the beads have a mind of their own regarding which colors take center stage. However, I have other transparent colors available for anyone with particular preferences.
In this particular collection, blues, purples, and greens emerge prominently, while in another set, the blues, greens, and yellows truly stand out.

In this set, the reds and pinks stood out a bit more in some beads.
