How to Measure for a Beaded Anklet
Properly sizing your beaded anklet is important to ensure a perfect fit that will be comfortable for you. Our beaded anklets are available in 8 - 12 inch sizes, and every ¼ inch in between.
How to Wear Your Anklet
Measuring for an Anklet Above the Bone
To measure for this kind of anklet, wrap a string or tape measure around your leg above your ankle bone and add 1/4 inch to the number you get. For example, if your ankle measures 9 inches, you will need a 9¼ - 9¾ inch anklet. This will allow room to loosen or tighten the ankle bracelet to fit just right.
Measuring for an Anklet Below the Bone
If you would prefer to wear your anklet below your ankle bone, wrap a string or measuring tape around your ankle below the bone and add between 1/4 - 1/2 inch to the number you get, depending on how loose you would like your anklet to be.
Getting the Perfect Beaded Anklet
Just like shoes, you need to try on and test anklets to make sure they fit properly. When you receive your sparkling trinket, make sure to try it on and walk around the house to test the fit. If you feel the anklet tightening or pinching while walking, it may be too tight and could snap. Try adjusting the size using the anklet's extender, and if it still doesn't fit be sure to contact me so we can find you a perfectly-fitting anklet.
If you plan to wear your anklet in the shower, pool, or ocean, you may need to polish the silver more frequently. Foams and cream can be messy but will catch all the little crevices, and polishing cloths are convenient to shine the jewelry up quickly and cleanly.
If you prefer your anklet to be non-adjustable, request this when placing your order and we can remove the extender. It may also be possible to custom order your favorite anklet in your size, so don't hesitate to contact me if you're having trouble finding the perfect fit.
